Maggie came through the surgery fine!

The vet just called and told me that Maggie’s is doing fine and beginning to wake up.  She said the surgeon who did the amputation will be on call tonight, but will he not be THERE unless someone calls him in with an emergency!  She said to call her back at 5 and she will discuss if Maggie’s doing well enough, do I want to bring Maggie home tonight?

Do I want to do this????  Neither way seems ideal to me.  Any advice???  Thanks!  Judi

This is the day…

Needless to say, I’ve been up very early, waiting until it’s time to take Maggie to the vets.  Thanks to this website, the books and all of you, I feel well prepared for the challenges ahead and I know I can count on you.  Foremost on my mind right now, of course, is that Maggie comes through her surgery without any complications.

Maggie – I love you – LOTS of people love you!  All the children at school love you and all the folks at the nursing homes you visit love you!  Your walking friends (both human and canine) love you!  Your little sister loves you!  Your daddy and I love you most of all!  You can do this, Sweetie!  We love you and will help you in any and all ways we can.  We have a LOT of support out there!

Thank you again.  I will keep you posted on Maggie’s progress.
