Goin’ for walks!

Maggie LOVES that she’s now getting to go on walks with MacKenzie and me.  She walks on her own until she tells me it’s time  to ride and – her carriage awaits!  Today I was listening to my iPod Shuffle and what song came on first?  Chicago’s “You’re the Inspiration”!!!  What else???   😀photo-1

  1. GRINNING EAR TO EAR OVER HERE!! How cute is this!?

And Maggie, I know you’re the star of the show right now, but MacKenzie, you are a cutie pie too!

Lotta love showing up in that picture!!

I need one of those strollers! NO! Not for Happy Hannah, but for me so she can push me when I get tired!!

Keep these wonderful updates coming! So glad her recovery has been pretty darn flawless! Nice, very nice.

Thanks for the smies and hugs to ALL!

    1. Great idea! Maybe I can get a DOUBLE stroller and MacKenzie (1 1/2) can push BOTH of us!!! 😀 Actually, she’d probably do better pulling…

  2. We called my Maggie’s ride her chariot. I was afraid she wouldn’t like it but she rode in that thing like the Queen in a parade! All she needed to do was wave her paw.
I kept Mag’s stroller after she passed and I now use if for my 13 year old pug Tani who has mobility issues. I also used it for my 7 year old pug Obie who had knee surgery last February.
    Good job Maggie!!

    1. My walking friends lent me this stroller and it’s great! So easy to open, close and handle. Another friend lent me her stroller when my Molly began to slow down and couldn’t handle our regular walks. She was only 11, but had a tumor in her spleen that she hid from us until it took her suddenly one day. If only I had known… Anyway, at the time I, too, thought of teaching her how to do the queenly wave!!! 😀 Now it’s Maggie’s turn to be Queen!

  3. This is the stroller I got for my Maggie: https://www.kittywalk.com/original_suv.asp, although I don’t remember it being so pricy! I liked it because she could get in and out by herself.
Recently my dad bought a stroller similar to the one you have, but with the big wheels. I have to lift Tani into it and make sure she doesn’t jump out. It is much easier to push- I can do it one handed which is important because my other pug’s leash is in my hand. This is the one we have:http://www.petgearinc.com/product_info.asp?id=416. I have to keep her from jumping because I don’t like zipping the top shut (Tani doesn’t like it either). So I modified the retaining leash, and I added a bar to keep the bottom part up to contain her. The down side is the air tires- I popped two tubes in one week! Now we have thorn resistant tubes and liners in the tires.

    1. Thanks so much! i tried Maggie in an old umbrella stroller we had and she didn’t fit! So, we cut our walk short and she was able to walk all the way home on her own! I will keep using my friend’s stroller until she needs it back! Then I will have to buy my own, unless Maggie tells me by then that she doesn’t need a stroller at all! Thanks! Take care! Judi (PS My daughter’s name is Karen!!!)
